Founder's Story

At 18, I got rejected by Oxford. The ones I got in, I could not afford. I’ll never forget the call I had with my school counsellor that summer,

“Why are you trying to go abroad if you can’t afford it? Go apply to Korean universities you can afford.”

It was painful. Not because he was wrong, but because he was right. I had an impossible dream.

But he didn’t know one thing: I have a dream, I don’t give up.

At 20, I founded Rosebery Education and started my study at LSE. Honestly, I thought my time had finally come… only to realise it didn’t quite. Running a business was tough, and I was getting 2:2 in my essays. But again, I didn’t give up.

Now at 23, I hold a First-Class Honours from LSE and an offer from Oxford in my hands. And most proudly, Rosebery Education has helped over 25 students get into KMLA, Oxbridge and more, and awarded £17,000 worth of scholarships to 7 students from low-income households.

Things 18-year-old me could have never imagined.

From Korea to the world, Rosebery Education is expanding globally, empowering students from Korea, China and beyond to achieve their academic ambitions.

This isn’t just my story anymore.
It’s the story of every student who dares to dream.
